BASE KIT STAGE I

This kit allows a standard vehicle to increase sensibly its wheel travel without modifying ride height. This year we improved the kit by adding the following parts: while offroading - you have more chance to mantain contact with the terrain, due to the longer wheel travel, thus having more traction - by keeping the original springs and shock absorbers your handling does not change - it is a very inexpensive way to improve your vehicles offroad capabilities - all components of the kit are more resistant and more reliable than the original parts.

BASE KIT STAGE II 

The Stage II has the same components as the Stage I plus 4 heavy duty long travel springs.(+3 inches)This setup allows you to have all the advantages of the Stage I even more. These stiffer and longer springs are made for heavyer loads and difficult terrain and are ideal for use with longer aftermarket shock absorbers.Main advantages of these springs: better handling while traveling offroad - reduce roll especially when carrying heavy loads and hauling trailers - you do not need to change the original shock absorbers.

BASE KIT STAGE III

This is the complete Base Kit setup. It changes the vehicle completely.Having all the parts of the Stage I, it differs with the Stage II by the following: longer and stiffer springs (+3 inches) - heavy duty long travel custom shock absorbers.Having all the features and advantages of the previous kits, it also has: longer weels travel due to the oversize shock absorbers . longer springs with a greater load rate - competition grade nitrogen shock absorbers - better handling while tackling very diufficult terrain - improved road handling even more so when heavy loader and hauling - more precise response when driving fast over rough terrain.

BASE KIT STAGE III PLUS

Base Kit Stage III Plus

This is the ultimate evolution of the Base kit family.It differs from the Stage III by its shock absorbers. Here we have very special competition grade adjustable shock with "Piggy_Back" type remote canister. Those shocks improve the handling given by the Stage III by adding the following features: you can finely adjust the response on every corner of the vehicle by stiffening or smoothering the shocks reaction to obstacles. When increasing stiffness: drive high speed over very rough terrain with a superb handling -very rapid steering response - sporty road handling. When reducing stiffness: ideal low speed precisio driving over extreme terrain - crawl over obstacles with ease without rebouncing thus maintaining maximum traction.

EXTREME KIT AND EXTREME KIT PLUS

The Extreme kit is not the evolution of the Base Kits, it is a completely different system, and pride of Equipe 4x4 engineering. Thanks to our exclusive design the rear wheels copy the terrain extremely well. Especially when traversing very rough terrain we have a formidable wheel travel and virtually no chance to get cross-axled. A vehicle equipped with the Equipe 4x4 Extreme Kit can gain traction when others are already stuck.Road handling is also improved due to the better response given by the stiffer springs and shock absorbers.By having more chance to having it’s wheels on all four corners at all times on the ground, the vehicle does not bounce when riding over rough terrain, on the contrary, it smoothly absorbs it virtually eliminating the risk of roll.Vehicles with less wheel travel have to use speed and build up inertia to traverse the same terrain trying to surpass the cross-axle strech. By doing so, their wheels might just lift up in the air uncontrollably and when the wheels touch down again, the chances of rolling over are great.Tecnically all this is achieved by our exclusively designed spring detaching system that allows the spring to slide out the upper braket when travelling over extremely rough terrain in order to copy it maintaining extreme stability. The spring automatically slides back in it’s place safely at any time, over any terrain at all speeds. The shock absorbers are organized and have a very long travel and a superior rating to control the vehicle’s movement at all time keeping the driving smooth.This system has proven it’s reliability and safety in the Dakar race, in our Trans Taiga Labrador expedition and also by driving us and many happy customers every day to work and back on the trafficated higways some of us unfortunately have to drive on.In order to lift the axle for maintenance or to change a tyre, the system provides a retaining strap at each rear corner that can be clipped to allow you to reduce the wheel travel almost to stock levels.Just imagine the possibilities if you add our Maxi-Drive differential locking axle kits and Goodwinch winches....

REAR UPGRADE KIT

For the Defender 90 we have developed a special upgrade kit for the rear axle. This kit consists in a pair of Uniball jointed rear trailing arms, a Uniball joint modified rear a-frame and rear (inclined) spring holders. By eliminating the rubber joints and the a-frame ball joint, this kit gives even more articulation to the rear axle. There is no ?braking? effect in the axle articulation like when you have regular rubber joints. The Uniball joints also allow you to adjust the rotation of the rear axle in order to better align the rear propshaft with the rear differential, in order to reduce vibration. The rear spring plates compensate for the new, different angle of the rear axle. These components are many times stronger than the original parts. The Uniball joints are easily available and replaceable just like the original rubber joints. For those who like Rock Crawling this kit is a must have!

FRONT UPGRADE KIT

To maximize the performance of our kits we designed this kit in order to correct the different angles and alignments given by the different ride height. The Kit for the front axle comprises an adjustable Panhard rod with Uniball end, and two Caster-angle correcting front trailing arms. These parts are also available separately. The adjustable Panhard rod is ideal to adjust the alignment of the front and rear axles of raised vehicles. It also gives you the possibility to perfectly fine tune the front wheel alignment The modified trailing arms correct the Caster-angle in order to give the steering the same feeling as a non-raised vehicle.

O-SHAPE BRAKET

REAR TRAILING ARMS

Rear trailing arms

The rear trailing arms have been purposely designed to give the rear axle all the necessary free movement. By their form they make it possible to maximize the long wheel travel provided by the longer shock absorbers or given by the lowered shock absorber attachments. The rubber trailing arm joints work at the correct angle and work more efficiently even on a lifted vehicle. The trailing arms are designed to be many times more durable and strong than the original part.

FRONT TRAILING ARMS

Front trailing arms in AL7075
On a lifted vehicle with front axle and trailing arms the caster angle usually varies, causing a slightly oversteering tendency.In order to correct this we developed these special heavy duty trailing arms (acceptable for lift between 2 and 5 inches).These heavy duty trailing arms are 60 times strongher than the stock ones and are ideal for heavy offroad use.By correcting the caster, they make the oversteer disappear.

RETAINING STRAPS

Retaining straps

These straps are designed to be used when you need to use the vehicle’s jack lift and have our extreme kit.They are fitted on the rear shock absorber bracket and can be clipped on the axle when you need to limit articulation.Due to the long travel of the extreme kit, especially on the Defender, the original jack is not sufficient to lift the tyre in order to change it.They may also be used on other vehicles as an axle retaining strap, to limit articulation
